OVERVIEW

The aim of our Songwriting programme is to prepare individuals to serve in the music ministry by providing them with training in music and in the area of worship leading and performing.

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE

Students undertaking this course will experience instruction in the following two areas.

1. The theoratical and practical aspects of music

2. The task of organising musical events

The first of these parts concentrates on developing the individuals understanding of music. The individual will learn to read and write music, and will gain a foundational understanding of the various concepts and relationships which govern the discipline of music.

In the second part, the indvidual will expereince first hand, the consideration involved in organising a musical event and in leading sessions of praise.

This course is made avaliable free of charge. And lessons are held every Wednesday at 600 p.m. at our main building along Sharratt Street.
Classes are conducted by Rev. Vincent Onwukanjo an exprienced songwriter who composed songs for the play 'Nehemiah', produced by Reconcilers Evangelical Ministries.
